Empowering couples is Sicura’s calling! She knows that a strong connection is built by embracing each person’s unique perspective. Sicura has been helping people for over two decades, supporting their growth and helping them navigate life’s challenges. Currently, she holds the esteemed position of Mental Health Coordinator for the DeKalb County School District. As a former teacher and school counselor, Sicura has honed her ability to make people feel comfortable and open up to her. Her core value of non-judgment and acceptance serves as an anchor for her clients.

Sicura is a proud stepparent to four children and has had the privilege of living all around the world, immersing herself in diverse cultures and communities. She has a passion for exploring local cuisine and will go to great lengths to indulge in amazing food.

Sicura specializes in using the Gottman method of couples therapy, which involves an in-depth questionnaire for each partner that helps identify areas of strength and growth in the relationship. Armed with this insight and her expertise, Sicura is able to provide tailored interventions to help couples build and maintain successful, fulfilling relationships.

As the great Carl H. Rogers once said, “The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change.” Sicura wholeheartedly believes in this philosophy and strives to help her clients embrace self-acceptance and positive change.

Founder Sheri Hardin

Sheri Hardin, LCSW, therapist and founder

Sheri currently offers couples therapy, “stay or go” counseling, relationship counseling for one, divorce support and recovery, and heartbreak recovery.

She is available for virtual sessions Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday daytime hours, and Wednesday evenings. In-person sessions are available on Wednesday evenings and Thursdays during the day. She serves clients in Georgia and South Carolina.

Meet Sheri Hardin, LCSW, therapist and founder

Sheri recognizes the value of loving, harmonious, fun, respectful, and honest relationships that involve a high degree of personal responsibility, and her passion is helping people achieve this. She believes that personal growth and cooperative team work are the cornerstones to healthy, thriving relationships, and she helps people achieve this by working either with the couple or with one person individually.
She also recognizes that despite all best efforts, some relationships do end. Sheri is passionate about helping people through all the stages of the separation or divorce process, including figuring out if that is the right decision, going through the process, and healing and redefining one’s life on the other side. She uses her skills as a Certified Divorce Coach to help clients decide if divorce is right for them, maneuver through the process, and heal on the other side to create a new and fulfilling post-divorce life.

Sheri is an avid dancer and the mother of a teenage daughter. She is also an entrepreneur and a native of Oklahoma (otherwise known as an “Okie”). The Crescent City is her second home, and she loves to travel and explore new places. Occasionally, Sheri can be found on one of the many beautiful hiking trails in Atlanta or North Georgia.

As an Atlanta therapist, Sheri has seen what it takes to make a marriage last for decades. Her parents were married almost 51 years when her mother passed away. She knows that marriage is not easy, as she has also experienced firsthand the challenges that marriage can bring and what it takes to maneuver through them. Sheri knows that the work on a relationship can be difficult, and sometimes hard decisions need to be made along the way. She also knows the rewards can be rich from doing growth work, both individually and as a couple.

With her varied background in different mental health settings, including a family service agency, counseling center, hospice care, emergency room, and psychiatric hospital, Sheri has gained rich experiences that inform her current work as a psychotherapist. She appreciates working with clients of all spiritual and religious backgrounds.
